New Church of the Living God Leadership

New Church of the Living God is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.

James E. Johnson

Bishop, Senior Pastor

Bishop James E. Johnson, after fervent prayer Pastor Johnson, his wife, Alice and several others devoted Christians answered the call, and New Church of the Living God was established. The first service was held in the George Smith Library meeting room on September 14, 2003 with 16 members joining in with this new ministry after the first service.

The Characteristics that best describe Bishop Johnson as a pastor are the infectious love for God's people, a heart to serve the Lord, life-changing preaching, a man of faith and action and a teacher of the people. He is a servant leader that leads by example. Bishop James E. Johnson continues to pursue the mandate that God gave him stating " Take care of the people and God will take care of the Church".

He is a graduated of Friends University. Bishop James E. Johnson has been happily married for more than 30 years to his wife, Sister Alice Curry-Johnson.
